Congratulations you have completed reading through the entire Bible - Okay take a couple weeks off and do it again.

Read Through the Bible in One Year

How it Works

This reading plan consists of 49 weeks 6 days per week. Begin with week #1, Monday and simply read the selection for each day. You can begin on any day of the week (for example Thursday) of week 1 read through the plan and finish with Monday-Wednesday of week  #1. You could also begin reading from Monday week #1 even if today is Wednesday. Just keep track of what day you should be on.  The bottom line is begin where you want and keep track of where you're at as you move through the plan.

We hope you enjoy, learn and grow with this plan.

About the Bible Study Tools Reading Plan

Statistics show that most people professing faith in Jesus have never completely read their Bible. Many people start reading the Bible but then become overwhelmed by the number of chapters (1,189) and verses (31,102) there are. What we don't realize is that we can read the Bible in a year by reading fewer than four chapters a day.

By dividing the Bible into 365 daily readings, your goal of reading the Bible in a year can easily be accomplished. Here at Bible Study Tools, not only can you come and read the Bible on a daily basis, but we can help you chart your reading progress online during the year. That means you don't have to wait until the New Year -- you can start reading the Bible today.

The Bible in a Year reading plan contains 365 daily readings designed to help you easily read the entire Bible in just one year. Simply select your preferred reading plan, the date you wish to begin, your preferred translation, and then click the button. We will create your customized progress chart, and you'll be on your way!

Tips on Reading the Bible Daily

1. Start reading the Bible today -- there is no better time, and there's no reason to wait.

2. Set aside a specific time each day. Set your schedule and then stick to it. Mornings are great, but feel free to use any time that works consistently for you.

3. Read the Bible for the sake of learning, not simply to accomplish your next reading. Say a short prayer to God before you begin, asking the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding, then be refreshed by the words you read!

4. Finally, understand there will be some sections you will enjoy more than other sections. Keep faithful and read on. Many of the sections that are difficult for most people are not that long and you will be through them in a few days. God will bless you for your faithfulness.
